Land developments, office buildings, retail shopping plazas, hotels, residential developments, and other commercial, industrial and investment real estate. Primary locations: Alberta, including Calgary, Strathcona County, Sherwood Park, and Ontario, including North York and Toronto.

The Investments

Investors can create their own investment portfolios, choosing from a selection of real estate investments like cash flow properties, syndicated mortgages, participating mortgages, and development projects for higher return on investment.

The investments are usually structured as limited partnerships in order to provide both limited liability and full availability of flow through tax deductions. Investors are not personally liable on the mortgage debt, as they would be if they purchased the property on their own.

Minimum investment amounts are typically set at $25,000 or $50,000 for each investment opportunity.

The Numbers

Annual Return on Investment is targeted at 15% p.a. for cash flow properties; and 20% - 30% p.a. for development projects.

Investment periods range from one to five years, with two to three years being most common.
